Meet the Maker

ELLIE WHITE
Founder + Designer

My name is Ellie White and I'm the Founder & Designer here at MH.

My goal as a designer is to create fashion forward hand made headwear that will outlive each client by using the highest grade materials available. I want to build hats that have a story to tell of their own while being a perfect representation to who you are and highlight individuality - something to be cherished and passed down for generations.

In a world of fast fashion and a need for immediate gratification, I want to do my part in slowing it back down and bringing purpose and intention back into the industry while being 100% American made with these two hands.

When the words "custom" and "handmade" are used here at Mill & Habs, you can be assured that we live by the true definition. We don't just decorate beautiful hats, we build them.

About Mill & Habs

At MH, we believe that a hat is more than just an accessory - it is a reflection of one's individuality and personal story. Our collection of "Ready to Wear" hats, available both online and in our store, offers a diverse range of styles for every occasion.

However, our true passion lies in our Custom Made department, where we work closely with our clients to create bespoke hats that truly embody their unique personality and life journey. Through detailed consultations and transparent communication, we ensure that each hat tells a story of its own, weaving together the threads of the client's identity.

We take pride in using only the highest quality luxury materials, ethically sourced from around the world. From 100% fur felts to genuine leather, silk, velvet, and more, each hat is meticulously crafted by hand, never mass-produced. Our philosophy of quality over quantity shines through in every hat we create, each one exuding its own distinct personality. Join us in celebrating the art of hat-making and the power of storytelling through style.

“Each Mill & Habs hat is a work of art, a labor of love and all one of a kind while being perfectly imperfect.”
